Chek Mek Kurung Pesak

Say hello to our Traditional Malay Batikwear called "Chek Mek" which is a Kurung Pesak, specifically a type of Baju Kurung that comes with triangular side panels sewn into the garment to provide a looser and more comfortable fit. This design allows for better movement and airflow, making it suitable for the tropical weather.

The Baju Kurung Pesak typically consists of:
1. A loose-fitting tunic – which extends to the knees or below, featuring pesak (side panels) to give it a slightly flared shape.
2. A matching skirt (Kain Sarung or Kain Lipat Belakang) – usually made from batik, songket, or other traditional fabrics.
